Overview

A Unity-based iOS training application developed as a supplement to in-person staff training. The application allowed staff to log in, select and complete training modules, with completed training being recorded through integration with the client’s existing LMS.

My Role

I joined this project as a Developer approximately four months before completion, contributing primarily to bug fixing, client-requested changes, automated testing, and application maintenance. As the project approached completion and the other developers moved onto other projects, I took ownership of the final testing, polishing, and release preparation.

My Contributions

  • Investigated and resolved bugs across the application, with a particular focus on the central training content playback and progression system.
  • Implemented a complete UI redesign based on client feedback.
  • Implemented ongoing UI and content changes requested by the client.
  • Added back-navigation functionality to the central training content system.
  • Maintained the project’s existing unit test suite and created additional unit tests where coverage was missing.
  • Created and maintained iOS builds, including working with the generated Xcode project as part of the iOS build process.
  • Conducted extensive end-to-end testing across the application.
  • Performed manual testing by completing training modules from start to finish to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conducted extensive on-device testing on iOS hardware.
  • Took responsibility for the project’s final QA and polish after the other developers transitioned to other projects.
  • Worked with the project manager to implement client feedback and maintained a direct communication channel with the client to clarify requirements and requested changes.
