Quest 3

Overview

An XR training application developed for the Attorney-General’s Department to supplement training for Australian police officers responding to domestic violence incidents. The experience used scenario-based training built around real case studies, demonstrating both appropriate and inappropriate approaches to responding to these situations.

In The News

The project was the centerpiece of a 7 News segment which can be viewed below!

My Role

Joined the project as a developer near the end of development for a two-week stint during a lull in my primary project. Focused on final polish, stability, quality assurance, and improving the experience’s UI and UX.

My Contributions

  • Conducted extensive QA testing across the training scenarios to identify functional issues, inconsistencies, and areas requiring polish.
  • Identified and resolved bugs affecting the stability and functionality of the experience.
  • Performed final polish and stabilisation work in preparation for delivery.
  • Improved aspects of the VR UI, refining interactions and presentation.
  • Implemented UX improvements to make the training experience clearer and more intuitive.
  • Tested the experience extensively to ensure the training scenarios functioned reliably from start to finish.
